The Founder's Story

The Founder's Story

Greyson’s story is a profound testament to the power of gratitude and the strength found in community. At just 12 years old, he faced a challenge that would redefine his outlook on life. While attending a hockey tournament in St. Louis, he was suddenly struck by a fierce headache in the middle of the night. After a day filled with joy and camaraderie on the ice, he returned home, only to face another wave of pain.

Through a series of events that led him to the University of Iowa Hospital, Greyson discovered he was experiencing a life-threatening aneurysm. Thanks to the swift and skilled care of dedicated medical professionals, he underwent emergency surgery that saved his life—a moment that sparked a deep sense of gratitude within him.

Today, Greyson channels that gratitude into a message of hope and inspiration. He reflects on the Parable of the Lost Sheep, where Jesus teaches us about the immense value of each individual. Just as the shepherd leaves the 99 to rescue the one, Greyson reminds us that every life is precious.

His journey encourages us to embrace gratitude not only for our own lives but also for the communities that support us. Each day is a gift, filled with opportunities to uplift one another, to express appreciation for the people who stand by us in our darkest hours, and to celebrate the small victories that fill our lives with joy.

Let Greyson’s experience inspire you to cultivate gratitude in your own life. Take a moment to reflect on the blessings around you—your friends, family, and the everyday moments that bring you joy. In a world that can often feel overwhelming, gratitude has the power to transform our perspective, helping us recognize the beauty in our connections and the strength in our shared humanity. Together, let’s celebrate the gift of life and the incredible people who make our journeys meaningful!
